Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using lowercase letters, such as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, and received great reviews from music blogs and the media. The singer has released a number of high-profile covers, such as Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that were widely appreciated. She gained some further recognition through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her song Runaway. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in her attic, and becoming fascinated with its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes encouraged her to make music as a means of development of her own, not to earn a living or an interest. For this reason, she began writing songs that were her own creations. Alongside Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother was supportive of her performing her music in front of the public, but not so that she could gain fame but rather in order to show others that they matter and how they can make a difference to make a difference in the world. Her mother suggested that she perform her songs publicly to help people realize the importance of their work and how they could impact the world. It was unknown to her family members until she turned fourteen. Aurora's accomplishments were never her dream. Aurora says she loves writing music. For her, music is the most efficient method of expressing anything.
